Roy Keane advises Mikel Arteta to ‘show a bit of class’ amid referee criticism

Roy Keane took umbrage to Mikel Arteta’s comments made towards referee Michael Oliver after the game between Arsenal and Manchester City at the weekend. He urged the Spaniard to ‘show a bit of class’ and that he should ‘move on’.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Keane said: “Deep down he'll be satisfied with a point. Show a bit of class, manager of Arsenal. He probably deserved the red card, we reacted well and we move on. That's the end of it. Take your medicine and move on. Show a bit of class. Managers are coming out every week saying every decision is against them. Just come out and accept it.

"Listen, he's got the yellow card, he has to take his medicine, but I generally have no problem with it. We see other managers doing stuff that we might not always agree with but they're emotional, they’re passionate and I think that's just because he wants to win.”

Liverpool’s Joe Gomez targeted by Newcastle United and Aston Villa

Joe Gomez has been on the periphery of Arne Slot’s Liverpool squad, as the Dutchman has shown a preference for Virgil Van Dijk and Joel Matip. This has left Gomez in the dark somewhat - but he could be snapped up by Newcastle or Aston Villa at some point this season.
