Here are the best some of the best players that missed out on a place at the World Cup this winter.

The World Cup Qualifiers took place over the last week, leaving a number of teams clammering for their passports whilst others will be sulking in front of the television come November.
While this year’s tournaments will feature some of the biggest stars in the world, there are unfortunately still a long list of huge names that have missed out on a place in Qatar.
It is disappointing that we won’t be able to witness them on the world’s biggest stage after having the joy of watching them in the Premier League, Champions League and others.
Here are 13 of the best players that haven’t qualified for the 2022 World Cup...

1. Gianluigi Donnarumma - Italy
Donnarumma was named UEFA’s Player of the Tournament after Italy’s victory, however the PSG goalkeeper won’t be heading to Qatar this winter.

2. Eric Bailly - Ivory Coast
Despite making his international debut seven years ago, Bailly is yet to appear at the World Cup, with Ivory Coast failing to qualify for the tournament since 2014.

3. Jorginho - Italy
Every Italy player will be disappointed after they were knocked out by North Macedonia, however it was Jorginho that was named as the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year last season following their success.

4. Arturo Vidal - Chile
Vidal has been to two World Cups with Chile and this year’s tournament could have potentially been his last as he turns 35 next month.
