But there is still a huge amount of transfer speculation surrounding the usual suspects including Liverpool and Arsenal, while Philippe Coutinho is once again involved in the rumour mill.

Here we take a look at the latest transfer news.

Newcastle United transfer u-turn

Newcastle United have been forced to 'redraw' their January transfer window plans, according to reports.

NewcastleWorld understands that Eddie Howe's side are confident of securing the signing of Kieran Trippier next month.

But it's Callum Wilson's recent calf injury which has club officials worried as it could mean several months on the sidelines for the striker.

The Northern Echo say that Howe must 'look abroad' for a replacement as Newcastle are now almost certain to acquire a forward in the January transfer window.

Liverpool's Arsenal decision

Liverpool have decided to make a move for Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka, per reports.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a fine season to date for the Gunners and is gaining interest from Liverpool.

That's according to Transfer Window Podcast, who say Saka is 'interested' in a move to Merseyside.

It's not a transfer window without speculation surrounding Philippe Coutinho's future.

The former Liverpool star has not had a good few years at Barcelona despite winning the Champions League whilst on loan at Bayern Munich.

Sport, per Mirror Football, say that Everton have held talks with the Brazilian over a January move but now reports suggest that Coutinho is one of the unfortunate Barcelona players to have Covid-19 as a depth crisis engulfs the club.

This will no doubt halt any transfer in early January but it's understood Coutinho could still be on the move as he has been told he is not in Barcelona boss Xavi’s plan.
