Good morning, and welcome to today’s transfer news live blog. We’ll keep you updated with all the latest wheeling and dealing in the Premier League, as top tier sides look to wrap up some key deals before the January transfer window closes at the end of the month.

Can Arsenal force through Vlahovic deal?

First up, reports from Italy suggest Arsenal are accelerating their pursuit of Fiorentina goal machine Dusan Vlahovic, and are said to have lodged an offer which could rise to £88m. The Serbia international is in high demand, after 17 goals in 21 Serie A games so far this season.

Man Utd won’t let Lingard go on the cheap

Meanwhile, Newcastle United are said to be keen on signing Manchester United outcast Jesse Lingard on loan. However, TalkSPORT have suggested that the Red Devils will demand a loan fee of £3.5m to let the England international leave temporarily this month. That’s a pretty hefty price to pay for less than half a season!

Liverpool hold out for £15m fee

Over at Anfield, Liverpool aren’t willing to let their players leave on bargain fees either, it seems. The race to sign their defender Nathaniel Phillips is starting to liven up, with West Ham United said to be keen admirers. However, The Express report that the Reds have knocked back to bids for the player, and won’t sell for less than £15m.

Liverpool join Kounde race

Liverpool have joined long-time admirers Chelsea in the race to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde, but the Premier League duo will have to fork out around £70m to land the Frenchman, according to the Mirror. Kounde came close to joining the Blues over the summer.

Newcastle United are interested in signing Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno this month, according to 90min. The German has fallen beneath Aaron Ramsdale in the pecking order at the Emirates, and any deal for his services would likely be an initial loan with an option buy written into it.
