UEFA Champions League Round of 16 re-draw: Manchester United face Atletico Madrid, Liverpool to return to San Siro

After a technical problem that saw Manchester United not included in Atletico Madrid’s potential opponents pot in this morning’s Champions League draw, Uefa were forced to re-draw the Round of 16 stage.

Manchester United were initially set to face Paris Saint-Germain which would result in an intense reunion between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Meanwhile, Liverpool had drawn RB Salzburg, Manchester City were to take on Villarreal and Chelsea drew Lille.

The Round of 16 first legs will be played 15th-16th and 22nd-23rd of February 2022, with the return matches on the 8th-9th and 15th-16th March 2022.
