Arsenal will hope to give a boost to their push for Champions League football when they entertain Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.

Mikel Arteta’s side currently sit in fourth place in the table - but they may have slipped out of the Champions League places by the time their meeting with the Foxes gets underway.

Fellow top-four contenders Manchester United and West Ham United are within striking distance of their Gunners and they face home games against Spurs and Aston Villa this weekend.

Nevertheless, Arsenal will be confident of continuing their good home form after losing just two of their 13 Premier League fixtures at the Emirates this season.

That confidence will only be enhanced by Leicester City’s away record with Brendan Rodgers’ side only claiming maximum points in two of their games on the road during the campaign.

What is being said ahead of the game?

Speaking after last weekend’s win at Watford, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said: “To be fair, I don’t like to look at the table a lot because we have games in hand, we’re going to play different fixtures and I know the objective and it’s only one, to try and improve tomorrow on what we’ve done today and go into the next match and that’s it.

“I cannot control results and I cannot predict which matches we are going to win, draw or lose, it’s impossible. If I start to do that I think we’re going to lose focus on what we want to do.”

Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers said: “We try to win every single game we want to play in

“It's the same idea at the weekend, we don't think about Thursday, we go to the Emirates Stadium and want to put in a good performance.”

What is the latest team news?

Arsenal will be without Takehiro Tomiyasu (leg injury) and Emile Smith Rowe is a doubt.

Ricardo Pereira and Wesley Fofana could return for Leicester but Jamie Vardy, Jonny Evans and Timothy Castagne will all miss out.

What happened last time the two sides met?

It was Arsenal that took the points in the reverse fixture as first-half goals from Gabriel and Emile Smith Rowe helped them to a 2-0 win at the King Power Stadium in October.

Where can I watch the game?

The game is being shown live on Sky Sports via their Main Event and Premier League channels with coverage getting underway in the aftermath of Chelsea’s home game with Newcastle. Kick-off at the Emirates is at 4.30pm.

What are the latest odds?

Arsenal are favourites to get a win and are rated at 1/2 with SkyBet.

Leicester are 21/4 to take the points and a draw is set at 10/3.
