Here's when the Copa America final 2021 will be taking place and kick off time as Brazil look to maintain their record of winning the football tournament every time they have hosted.

When is the Copa America 2021 final?

In 2021, the Copa America final will be played on Saturday 10 July in Brazil.

However, due to the time zone differences across the globe, the match will actually take place in the early hours of Sunday 11 July for UK viewers.

The Copa America final is scheduled to kick off at 9pm local time on 10 July 2021.

Though, as the UK is four hours ahead of Brazil, the final will kick off at 1am on 11 July 2021 for UK viewers either tuning in or following the action on their phones.

Where is the Copa America 2021 final being held?

The Copa America 2021 final will be held at Brazil's iconic Maracana stadium.

The stadium, situated in Rio de Janeiro, has gone through a handful of renovations since it was first built in 1950, which have decreased the attendance over time.

For the final of the 1950 World Cup, 199,854 people are said to have filled the Maracana - a record attendance it has not since matched.

It has comfortably held more than 100,000 people on several occasions for high profile domestic and international matches but its capacity is now limited to 80,000.

The Maracana is still the largest stadium in Brazil and the second largest in South America only to the Estadio Monumental in Peru.

Who will compete in the Copa America final 2021?

Defending champions Brazil will compete in a 21st Copa America final at the 2021 tournament, looking for a 10th win - their last coming in 2019.

Brazil will face either Argentina or Colombia in the final of the 2021 Copa America, with Neymar relishing the prospect of taking on their fierce rivals.

"I want Argentina, I am cheering them on," said Neymar. "I have friends there and in the final Brazil will win."
