Where can I watch Africa Cup of Nations 2022? UK TV coverage of AFCON - channel, live stream and highlights

The African Cup of Nations 2022 is well and truly underway, with Cameroon playing host as 24 countries battle it out for the illustrious title.

Defending champions Algeria will be eager to retain their crown, but will fierce competition from the likes of Mo Salah’s Egypt, Sadio Mane’s Senegal, and a Nigeria side brimming with players who ply their trade in the upper echelons of the British game.

The competition kicked off on Sunday January 9th, with Cameroon coming from behind to see off a spirited Burkina Faso side in a 2-1 win.

And with the final scheduled for February 6th, there’s a whole heap of action for viewers to sink their teeth into over the next month or so.

What channel is AFCON 2022 on?

All 52 AFCON matches will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, with coverage being split between Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Football, and Sky Sports Premier League.

The BBC will also be showing some games, with 10 games - including two of the quarter-finals, both semi-finals and, the final - available to watch live on the iPlayer.

How can I stream AFCON 2022?

Sky customers who are unable to watch matches at home can view all the action on the SkyGo app.

Non-Sky customers can purchase a NowTV pass which will allow them to watch matches.

For the games that are shown on the BBC, viewers will be able to watch along live via the iPlayer.
