The UEFA European Championship is underway.

The delayed Euro 2020 tournament sees some of the best players from across the continent grace the international stage in a bid to be crowned the Kings of Europe.

No less than 24 nations qualified for this summer's Euros which will see the top teams advance from the group stage to the knockout rounds in what promises to be a 30-day football festival.

Who is favourite to win Euro 2020?

World Cup 2018 winners France are the frontrunners to win the Euro 2020 tournament and hold both international honours, as they did after the 1998 and 2000 tournaments respectively.

French coach Didier Deschamps has an embarrassment of riches to choose from with star names Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann, Paul Pogba and the recalled Karim Benzema in his ranks.

Deschamps, who played a part in that memorable French team of '98 and 2000, has already guided this crop of Les Bleus superstars to World Cup glory and second place in Euro 2016.

Are England serious contenders to win Euro 2020?

England, under the level-headed Gareth Southgate, go into the tournament with renewed hope with the emergence of several exciting attackers in their arsenal.

Jack Grealish has impressed in the two warm-up friendlies against Austria and Romania, while Phil Foden and Mason Mount have both enjoyed successful club campaigns.

Add into the mix Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Raheem Sterling, Bukayo Saka and Jude Bellingham and Three Lions supporters are dreaming of what could be for this England team.

Can Southgate get the blend right alongside talisman Harry Kane?

There are the usual injury doubts to key players, with Harry Maguire and Jordan Henderson both in a race to be fit, but there is equally strength in depth in both positions for Southgate.

England will be desperate to go deep in what has the feel of a home tournament with so many matches scheduled to be played at Wembley, including the final on Sunday 11 July.

Could Scotland or Wales be Euro 2020 dark horses?

Back at a major summer tournament for the first time in more than two decades, after France '98, Scotland were desperate to make up for lost time.

Their rising stars include Andy Robertson, Kieran Tierney, Scott McTominay, John McGinn, Che Adams and young prospect Billy Gilmour of Chelsea.

Wales, meanwhile, took the last Euros by storm, reaching the semi finals of the 2016 tournament before losing to eventual winners Portugal and hold hope of causing a few more upsets.

Gareth Bale will lead a Welsh squad which also features Daniel James, David Brooks, Harry Wilson, Aaron Ramsey and Ethan Ampadu under the guise of caretaker boss Rob Page.

Who will win the Euro 2020 golden boot?

Harry Kane top scored at the last major international tournament, the 2018 World Cup, with six goals to his name and will be hoping to emulate that performance at Euro 2020.

Though the England frontman is yet to get off the mark after three group games.

He will face competition from Europe's best in France duo Antoine Griezmann, who won the honour at Euro 2016, and Kylian Mbappe, as well as Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku.

France are favourites to win the rearranged Euro 2020 tournament at 4/1 with many of the online bookies, according to comparison website oddschecker.com.

England and Belgium are not far behind them at 7/1, just in front of Germany and reigning Euros champions Portugal, before Spain and the Netherlands enter the frame.
