Ryder Cup tickets 2023: how to get tickets for the golf tournament, and how much they cost

The 2021 Ryder Cup gets underway this weekend, one year after the Covid-19 pandemic saw it postponed in 2020.

Team USA are looking to win back the trophy from Team Europe who were victorious at the last tournament in 2018 by a score of 17½–10½ at Le Golf National in France.

Amongst those competing for the Americans will be 2021 Open champion Colin Morikawa and 2020 Masters winner Dustin Johnson while British players dominate the European line up with Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Lee Westwood part of the 12 strong team.

With this year’s exciting tournament getting underway, tickets for the 2023 competition have gone on sale as of Tuesday, September 21.

Where is the 2023 Ryder Cup being held?

The 2023 Ryder Cup, the 44th edition of the competition, will be held in Italy in autumn 2023 at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Guidonia Montecelio near Rome.

The event was originally scheduled for October 2022 but was pushed back after the Covid-19 pandemic saw the 43rd Ryder Cup (due to take place in 2020) postponed.

How to get tickets for the 2023 Ryder Cup

The first tickets for the 2023 Ryder Cup went on sale on September 21, 2021 - just days before the 2021 competition is due to begin.

A selection of Premium Experience packages are available while a limited number of weekly general admission tickets will be on sale.

Tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis.

When will the Ryder Cup next be played in the UK?

The venues for six of the next eight Ryder Cups have already been announced but there are currently no UK golf courses scheduled to host the competition.

The biennial event rotates between between the two competing teams hosting it, meaning the 2025 event will return to the USA with Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, New York hosting.

Adare Manor (County Limerick, Republic of Ireland) will host the 2027 event and, although the following three USA host courses have been confirmed, the European courses hosting the 2031 and 2035 event remain unconfirmed.

It might be too late for most to book a ticket to this year’s event but UK supporters hoping to cheer on Team Europe can do so from the comfort of their living room.
