Mollie King proudly supported her fiancé Stuart Broad on Monday as he played his last day of cricket during the final Ashes test of the series. The Saturdays singer, 36, watched the former England Cricket star, 37 with their daughter eight month-old Annabella in her arms. 

The Nottingham player recently announced he would be retiring from the sport after a 17-year career, once the Ashes had finished. He told Sky Sports "I've been thinking about it for the last few weeks but England v Australia has always been the pinnacle for me.”

"I've loved the battles I've had with Australia. I've got a love affair with Ashes cricket and I think I wanted my last bat and bowl to be in Ashes cricket."

Who is Stuart Broad?

Stuart Christopher John Broad was born in Nottingham 12 weeks prematurely on June 24 1986. He was saved by a Doctor named John which is where his middle name came from. He has a sister Gemma who previously worked for the England team as a team analyst.

Before he became a world-class cricketer Stuart played Hockey for Leicestershire and the Midlands. After finishing Oakham School he went on to earn a contract with Leicestershire County Cricket Club.

Stuart Broad Cricket Career

Stuart began his cricketing career as an opening batsman following in the footsteps of his father - Chris Broad played Test cricket for England from 1984-1989 -  but after a growth spurt at the age of 17, he began considering becoming a fast bowler.

In 2007 Stuart left Leicestershire at the end of the season to join Nottinghamshire, after choosing not to renew his contract and to return to his home county. According to BBC Sport Stuart is the “second most successful paceman in Test history behind team-mate James Anderson.”

Who is Stuart Broad dating?

Rumours began back in 2012 that Stuart was dating Radio 1 presenter Mollie King. The couple reportedly met after Mollie’s friend told the singer to send him a get well soon message when he was recovering from an injury. 

They went official with their relationship in 2018 and got engaged on New Year’s Day 2021. They welcomed their first child together in November and the couple currently reside in London’s Richmond Hill. 

Does Stuart Broad own a pub? 

The cricketer owns the Tap & Run in Leicestershire pub along with fellow teammate Harry Gurney. The pair took over the pub in 2016 and in 2021 won Pub of the Year. 

What is Stuart Broad's net worth? 

Stuart has an estimated net worth of around £53.7 million according to The Sun, which puts him way in front of former cricketer Freddie Flintoff at £15 million.
