Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk is set to fight British boxer Daniel Dubois this evening (Saturday August 26) at the Tarczynski Arena in Wroclaw, Poland as Usyk, 36, defends his unified world heavyweight titles. Should Usyk retain his titles, there is the very real prospect it may lead to him going face to face in a fight against Tyson Fury next year.

The Ukrainian is the bookies favourite to win thanks to his professional record of a perfect 20-0 professional wins, including defeating Anthony Joshua for the vacant The Ring heavyweight title by split decision on August 20 2022 - a feat he repeated after beating Joshua for the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles in 2021.

Oleksandr Usyk has been married to wife Yekaterina Usyk, (Kateryna) since 2009 but the couple were reportedly close for several years before becoming Mr and Mrs. Yekaterina was born and raised in Russia and not much is known about his wife who is believed to be around 30 years old. 

The couple tend to keep their private lives mostly private Kateryna is often seen cheering him on at boxing matches. 

She now runs the foundation which belongs to the heavyweight champion. The ‘Usyk Foundation’ helps purchase vehicles and communications equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, deliver humanitarian aid, and organise various events in support of Ukraine.

Yekaterina Usyk shares three children with her husband Kyrylo, Mykhalio and Yelizaveta. The family sadly had to flee their home Vorzel, Bucha when Vladamir Putin troops overran the city.
