The 2022 Winter Paralympics are well underway, with only four days remaining until the closing ceremony in Beijing concludes the two week long event.

The 2022 edition began on Friday (March 4) and has brought us a host of thrilling sports to watch on our TV screens including wheelchair curling, para ice hockey and para snowboarding.

China are currently top of the medal table with 31 medals - including three gold - while Team GB have picked up a total of five medals.

The British athletes have picked up one gold, one silver and three bronzes in Alpine skiing, with the action all being shown live on Channel 4.

Channel 4 have exclusive rights to broadcast the Winter Paralympics in the UK and has also been streamed on All 4.

Ade Adepitan, Ed Jackson and Ellie Robinson are the trio who have presented the tournament for Channel 4 - but who are they?

Ade Adepitan is a well-known British television presenter and wheelchair basketball player.

The Nigerian-born star was part of the British team that won a bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Paralympics and also struck gold at the 2005 Paralympic World Cup.

The 48-year-old has regularly been seen on television, presenting a number of documentaries including BBC Two’s Africa with Ade Adepitan, as well as co-presenting BBC’s Children in Need appeal.

He was also part of the Channel 4 2014 Winter Paralympic Games and the Rio 2016 Paralympics alongside Clare Balding.

Ed Jackson

Ed Jackson is an English ex-professional rugby union player.

The former Number 8 suffered a spinal injury in 2017 and was told he would no longer be able to play professional rugby.

In 2018 Jackson joined Channel 4 as a reporter for their European Rugby Champions Cup coverage and a number of other rugby series, before becoming a presenter for both the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympic Games.

Ellie Robinson

Ellie Robinson is an English swimmer who holds the World record and the Paralympic record in the S6 50m butterfly and the World record in the 100m - setting both at 13 years old.

Robinson has a gold and a bronze Paralympic medal to her name, as well as one gold, two silver and three bronze medals in the European Championships.

The 20-year-old confirmed her retirement from competitive swimming last year and has since joined the Channel 4 presenting team.
