Enzo Badenas dead: Motorcross champion, 17, dies after incident in private training session
Tributes are pouring in for a young motorcross rider who died in a training accident - just days after his father’s birthday.
Enzo Badenas, 17, celebrated his dad’s birthday with a heartwarming post on Instagram, simply captioned with the words “I love you”.
But on Sunday, December 7, the teenager died during a private session at the Red Sand Park circuit in Castellon, Spain.

The youngster had risen quickly through Spain’s motocross ranks, becoming a standout member of the national team after winning the Spanish 85cc Championship in 2022. He had spent the 2025 season advancing in the EMX125 Championship, marking him as one of the sport’s brightest emerging talents.
A spokesperson for the Specialised Centre for Motorsport Training (CETDM) broke the news of his death.
They said: “Enzo Badenas suffered a serious accident on Sunday, December 7 while training privately.
“Badenas joined the CETDM in 2023 after achieving several successes, including the Spanish 85cc Championship title the previous season.
“During this time, he showed great personal and professional growth, which led him to achieve several podium finishes and victories, as well as being selected for the Spanish Motocross Team and competing in regional, national and international competitions, such as the European Championship.
“The Circuit Ricardo Tormo Technification Centre is deeply saddened by this news, and all the staff at the CETDM and the Circuit would like to offer their condolences, love and strength to Enzo’s family, colleagues, friends and loved ones at this difficult time.
“May he rest in peace.”
