Police carried out an examination of the scene at the property after he was discovered and said there was no evidence of foul play. His partner, model and influencer Ivett Szigligeti, cried out in shock after he was confirmed dead, according to neighbours.

Authorities have not released details about the cause of death.

Dudas’ final Facebook post in December was a tribute to his son. He also appeared on a celebrity boxing show and reached the final.

In February 2025, reports said Dudas lost his father after he was beaten by a six-man gang at a petrol station the previous autumn.

Dudas competed at the London Olympics in 2012, finishing sixth in the K-1 200 metres (656 feet). He won gold at the 2014 World Championships in Moscow as part of the K-1 4x200 metres (656 feet) relay team alongside Sandor Totka, David Herics and Bence Nadas, according to reports.

His honours also included world championship bronzes and European medals, according to reports.

His career later suffered from a doping case after he won gold in the K-1 200 metres (656 feet) at the 2015 European Games.

He was stripped of his win after traces of a banned hormone were found in his sample and Dudas was handed a 36-month ban from competition.

He later returned to elite sport after his ban and retired from top-level sport in early 2021.

Hungarian media reported Dudas and Szigligeti had been together since 2015, with a relationship marked by break-ups and reconciliations. They had two children together, with daughter Nara born in 2019 and son Milo born in 2022.
