A match made at Radisson RED is on the cards this year with this dreamy offering at the vibrant 4-star hotel. Nestled in the city centre, this stylish Grade II listed building is a mere stone’s throw away from Liverpool Lime Street’s metropolitan train station.

Offering characterful rooms and suites, its in-house upscale restaurant is the perfect location for lovers to bond over a romantic meal. For one night only, the hotel will be offering its Valentine’s Day menu of oysters with pate mousse or French Boullibaisse for fans of a seafood starter; those less keen on fish have the option of a delicious onion soup as the perfect winter warmer to whet the appetite.

Lovers can stay sated with a choice of main courses: crispy duck, smooth cherry, fresh celeriac and black pudding or swordfish, kale tartare and a zesty lemon curd. A vegetarian alternative features a delicate curried parsnip wellington and pomme de terre. To sweeten the deal, a sharing dessert platter and luxury charcuterie board with a paired wine is available to finish.

Boasting an enviable view of the beautiful Peace Gardens, retro-inspired rooftop eating house Governor Gupta has launched a special Valentine’s Day menu to commemorate the most romantic day of the year, inspired by typical North Indian meeting places known as ‘Addas’.

Raise a glass to the special day in Sheffield's ultimate speakeasy-style social club with a welcome cocktail. Courtesy of the hospitable team, all lovers will be served a vegetarian Mulligatawny soup as pre-starter before the official starter - a romantic plate of scrumptious paneer tikka and crispy chicken wings to share.

Indulge in a selection of main courses which combine distinctive Indian flavors with spices and marinades with select prime cuts of meat, or a delicious vegetarian equivalent. Sheffielders can ease into a shared plate of tandoori chicken tikka on skewers (or vegetarian tandoori paneer tikka on skewers) accompanied by lush lamb rogan josh (or vegetarian chickpea curry) to sate the appetite with creamy black dal, truffle butter, vegan Kachumber Salad, fresh naan or roti and tasty peas pulao to follow.

To finish, guests have a dessert option of warm gulab juman with soft ice cream or a fine kirsch cherry chocolate torte; either one comes with a selection of tea or coffee served with chocolate-dipped strawberries to complete the sweet occasion.
