Actor Michael Turner is best known for his portrayal of mechanic Kevin Webster in the ITV soap Coronation Street and he met his first wife Janette Beverley on the set of it. According to The Irish Mirror, Michael “and his wife Janette Beverley, announced their divorce in 2011 after 25 years together. The former couple first met on the set of Corrie in 1984. She played Elaine Pollard, a young girl who went on several dates with Curly Watts.”

Michael Turner (Kevin Webster) had a very turbulent onscreen relationship with his wife (Sally Webster), played by Sally Dynevor for many years on the ITV soap, Sally is of course now better known for being the mother of Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor

Michael is now in a relationship with Louise Gibbons, whom he is engaged to. Last year they were photographed out and about in Manchester browsing at a jewellery and watch dealer. The Sun reported in 2022 that “His financial health is on the up after overcoming a bankruptcy drama in 2019. Michael was formally discharged after being broke for the year before that. The actor was originally declared bankrupt after his debts spiralled out of control following his divorce from wife Janette Beverley.”

In May 2023 The Independent reported that “The actor, who has appeared in the role of Kevin Webster in the Manchester-based soap since 1983, is among a number of individuals describing the ‘upsetting, ‘damaging; and ‘long-lasting’ impact of allegedly being targeted by unlawful information gathering activities.”

Along with  Prince Harry, the former Coronation Street and Hollyoaks actress Nikki Sanderson, and Fiona Wightman, the ex wife of comedian Paul Whitehouse, Michael is seeking damages in the court case against Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN).
