WWE Crown Jewel 2021 highlights

Edge and Seth Rollins set the tone for the third WWE Crown Jewel event with a ‘Hell In A Cell’ for the ages, ending their long running feud.

The match lived up to their rivalry with plenty of near falls, with Edge finally taking the victory.

WWE superstar Edge recovered from a ladder fall through a table to wear Rollins down with a chain across the face, wrench beating and a big stomp for the win.

The high octane entertainment continued through the night and the Smackdown Women’s Title between champion Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair was another classic.

The triple match encounter had many bright sparks with Belair showing her immense strength, Banks’ skill and Lynch’s tactical workings fitting of a champion.

The match was decided by Lynch rolling Banks up and using the bottom rope for leverage to take the win and a successful title defence in a match which will live long in the memory.

The headline match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns saw the defending champion retain the title in controversial fashion, with intervention from Paul Heyman.

Heyman threw the WWE Universal belt down the middle of the ring between Reigns and Lesnar, with the latter initially taking control before a double kick from The Usos.

A belt shot from Reigns followed before the champion reclaimed his belt.
