JLS Star Aston Merrygold Shares His Secret to Quality Family Time – and It Starts with asmodee games Dobble and Flip 7!

Pop star, performer and proud family man Aston Merrygold has revealed that amidst a packed schedule of music, media and fatherhood, there’s one tradition that always brings his family and friends together: games night. And at the top of the playlist? Two fun-filled favourites: asmodee’s Dobble and Flip 7.

Whether he’s at home with wife Sarah and their two young sons, backstage on tour with JLS, or soaking up sunshine on a family holiday, Aston says that a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud card game is his ultimate way to switch off and connect.

“I absolutely love playing travel games like Flip 7 and Dobble – Dobble has been a firm favourite in our house for years! Whether I’m on tour, spending time with family, or just having a quiet night in, games like these are perfect for bringing everyone together. They're quick, fun, and always spark a bit of friendly competition which I’m all about. It’s those little moments of laughter and challenge that really make memories.”

With the summer holidays in full swing, Aston’s go-to for portable, easy-to-play games are from asmodee, the leading name in family entertainment and makers of award-winning hits like Dobble, Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza Waterproof, and Flip 7, the addictive new travel-sized strategy game that’s making waves in the world of quick-play games.

As a father of two, Aston says that keeping the family entertained in a way that doesn’t involve screens has become more important than ever.

He’s not alone, recent consumer trends show that more families are turning to board games and travel card games as a way to bond, unplug and break away from digital devices, especially during school holidays and travel season. asmodee’s compact, easy-to-pack titles are ideal for the beach, garden, the car or train or even an English weather rainy afternoon.

From backstage to the beach Aston is always game ready - While Aston’s days may be packed with rehearsals, interviews, and performances, games still manage to make the cut thanks to their portability.
