Celebrity Gogglebox 2021: who is in the cast with Lorraine Kelly and Micah Richards - and when does it start?

Gogglebox has become a hit show on Channel 4, featuring opinionated viewers as they share their thoughts and feelings on the biggest shows and films that has had everyone talking.

Celebrity Gogglebox is returning for its third series - this is everything you need to know.

Which celebrities are in the 2021 cast?

Announced in the lineup for the 2021 Celebrity Gogglebox cast is a mix of those making their Gogglebox debut and those who have already appeared in the series before.

Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling

Love Island presenter and narrator, respectively, Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling have been announced in the lineup.

Whitmore and Stirling are best known for their work on the ITV show Love Island, and the two got married in 2020.

Whitmore gave birth to their daughter in late March 2021.

Clara Amfo and her brother Andy

Clara Amfo is a Radio 1 DJ, presenting the mid-morning show after taking over from Fearne Cotton in 2015.

Amfo has also undertaken a number of presenting and narrating roles, including Coach Trip, The Year in Music 2017 and the Brit Awards.

She also took part in the 18th season of Strictly Come Dancing and was partnered with Aljaž Škorjanec. She was eliminated in week six.

Amfo will be appearing on Celebrity Gogglebox with her brother, Andy.

Clare Balding and Alice Arnold

Clare Balding is an English broadcaster, journalist and presenter, who currently presents for BBC Sport, Channel 4, BT Sport and is the current president of the Rugby Football League.

She also formerly presented Good Morning Sunday on BBC Radio 2.

Balding will appear on Celebrity Gogglebox with her wife, Alice Arnold.

Arnold is also a broadcaster and journalist. She was a newsreader and announcer on BBC Radio 4 for more than 20 years until 2012. Since then she has written for The Daily Telegraph and The Guardian.

The two entered into a civil partnership in 2006, and in 2015 officially married in a private ceremony.

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford are best known for their presenting work together on the ITV daytime programme This Morning.

The two have presented the show together since 2006, co-hosting every Friday. Today, they currently co-host This Morning during school holidays when Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby are absent.

Holmes and Langsford began dating in 1994, and Langsford gave birth to their son, Jack, in 2002. The two married on 26 June 2010 at Elvetham Hall.

Martin Kemp and Roman Kemp

Father and son duo Martin Kemp and Roman Kemp will also be appearing on the newest season on Celebrity Gogglebox.

Martin Kemp is an actor, musician and director, and is best known for being the bassist in the band Spandau Ballet, and also as Steve Owen in Eastenders.

Roman Kemp is a radio host and TV personality, known for presenting the Capital Breakfast show since 2017. In 2019, Roman appeared in the 19th season of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, placing third.

Lorraine Kelly and her daughter Rosie Smith

Lorraine Kelly is a widely known Scottish TV presenter and journalist, and has presented a number of TV shows over the course of her career, including Good Morning Britain, This Morning, Daybreak, The Sun Military Awards, STV Children’s Appeal and of course her own programme Lorraine.

Additionally, Kelly also writes weekly columns for The Sun and The Sunday Post.

Kelly will appear alongside her daughter, Rosie Smith.

Melanie C and her brother Paul

Melanie C, also known as Mel C, is best known for her role as one of the five members of girl group the Spice Girls, where she was nicknamed Sporty Spice.

Most recently, Mel C has taken on the role of coach/judge in the singing competition, The Voice Kids UK.

She will appear on Celebrity Gogglebox with her brother, Paul.

Micah Richards and Jamie Carragher

Former footballer pundits Micah Richards and Jamie Carragher will appear together, making their debut on the show for the third series.

Richards previously played as a right back and played in the Premier League and English Football League for Manchester City and Aston Villa. He is also a Club ambassador for Manchester City.

Carragher played as a defender for Premier League club Liverpool. He was Liverpool’s vice-captain for 10 years, and the club’s second longest ever serving player.

Chris Eubank Sr and Chris Eubank Jr

Another father and son duo, boxing professionals Chris Eubank Sr and Chris Eubank Jr will be returning to the series in some of the later episodes.

The two first appeared on the show together in 2019, in the first season of Celebrity Gogglebox.

Eubank Sr has also appeared on other shows such as the 2015 series of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! and in the first series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2001, where he was the first to be evicted from the house.

Sunetra Sarker and Georgia Taylor

Sunetra Sarker and Georgia Taylor will be familiar faces to fans of Ackley Bridge and Coronation Street.

Sarker plays the role of Kaneez Paracha in Ackley Bridge, a role which bagged her the award for Best TV Character at the Asian Media Awards.

Taylor has appeared in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street since 1997, where she took a break between 2003 and 2016 before returning once again. She has also appeared in BBC One medical drama Casualty and ITV crime series Law & Order: UK.

Mo Gilligan and Babatunde Aléshé

British stand up and Masked Singer UK panelist Mo Gilligan will also appear on the new season of Celebrity Gogglebox.

Gilligan previously appeared on the second series of Celebrity Gogglebox alongside comedian Babatunde Aléshé, who is also making a return for the third season.

Aléshé is an actor and writer, best known for his appearances on Eastenders, Waking the Dead and Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club.

Shaun Ryder and Bez

Shaun Ryder was the lead singer of the band Happy Mondays, and in 1993 he and former Happy Mondays dancer Bez formed Black Grape.

Ryder has appeared in a number of TV shows as well, including the BBC3 documentary Shaun Ryder: The Ecstasy and the Agony, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! and BBC 2 comedy Mandy.

Bez, dancer, DJ and musician is best known for his role in Happy Mondays and Black Grape. During the third lockdown of the Covid-19 pandemic, he also started posting as an online fitness instructor, producing content on YouTube under the title “Buzzin’ with Bez”.

Nick Grimshaw and Liv Grimshaw

Nick Grimshaw, also known as Grimmy, is an English TV and radio presenter.

He is best known for hosting The Radio 1 Breakfast Show, taking over from Chris Moyles in 2012. Grimshaw hosted the show until 2018. In 2015, he was also a judge on the 12th season of The X Factor.

Grimshaw will appear on the new season alongside his niece, Liv Grimshaw.

Gyles Brandreth and Maureen Lipman

Gyles Brandreth is a former politician, and also a writer, broadcaster and actor. Brandreth was elected to the House of Commons in 1992 as the Conservative MP for the City of Chester constituency, where he served until 1997.

Appearing alongside Brandreth is Maureen Lipman, a good friend of his. Lipman has appeared in films and TV shows such as Coronation Street, The Pianist and Educating Rita.

Denise van Outen and Eddie Boxshall

Denise van Outen is an actress, singer, dancer and presenter. She has appeared on a number of TV shows including The Big Breakfast, Strictly Come Dancing, Eastenders, Loose Women, The Masked Singer, Neighbours and Dancing on Ice.

In 2021, van Outen released her first podcast with her partner Eddie Boxshall called Before We Say I Do, which follows the couple as they investigate different types of relationship counselling in an attempt to identify any differences they may have before they get married.

Van Outen will appear alongside her partner Eddie Boxshall.

When will the new series of Celebrity Gogglebox air?

The third season of Celebrity Gogglebox will begin on Friday 4 June at 9pm on Channel 4, with eight episodes in total.

You can catch up on regular Gogglebox on the Channel 4 website, from season seven to season 17.

Series one featured the likes of Rylan Clark-Neal, Rachel Riley, Kelly Osbourne and more, while series two enjoyed appearances from Joe Swash, Zoe Ball, Vic Reeves and KSI.
