What is Monsters at Work about?

Monsters at Work sees the return of Pixar’s loveable Monster duo, Sulley and Mike Wazowski.

The series essentially picks up where the original “Monsters, Inc.” film left off, with the company rebranding itself as one that powers the monster city of Monstropolis via the laughter of children, rather than the screams of terrified kids.

The official synopsis of the show says: “Following the arrest of Waternoose, Monsters, Inc., the power plant at its center now harvests the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis. Tylor Tuskmon, an eager and talented mechanic on the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team, dreams of working on the Laugh Floor alongside Mike and Sulley.”

Who’s in the cast of Monsters at Work?

John Goodman returns to play Sulley. Sulley used to be one of the company’s best scarers, and has recently been appointed as the new CEO of Monsters Inc as it transitions from being fuelled by screams to being fuelled by laughter.

Comedy legend Billy Crystal returns to play Mike Wazowski. Wazowski is the business partner and best friend of Sulley. He helps Sulley run the company and also runs a comedy class for other employees.

Also in the cast is Ben Feldman playing Tylor Tuskmon. Feldman will be best known for his role in Mad Men, and NBC sitcom Superstore. Mindy Kaling plays Val Little. Little is Tuskmon’s best friend. Kaling is best known for her show The Mindy Project, and her role in the US Office.

Henry Winkler plays the role of Fritz. Fritz is a scatterbrained Tapir-like monster who is a key part of the facilities team at Monsters University. Jennifer Tilly plays Celia Mae, and Bob Peterson returns as the leader of the CDA, Roz.
