'Mother of God!' - watch impressionist Luke Kempner's brilliant take on the Line of Duty characters

Luke Kempner is one of the UK's best impressionists and in his new video he has nailed the characters DI Steve Arnott (played by Martin Compston) and Superintendent Ted Hastings (played by Adrian Dunbar) - including Hastings' most famous phrase 'Mother of God'. See the video below.

He also offers his takes on DI Kate Fleming (Vicky McClure) and this season’s guest star Kelly Macdonald, who plays DSI Joanne Davidson.

Kempner, who got global attention in 2012 with his hit viral video Downstairs At Downton, released the video on his social media channels before the latest episode of the BBC 1 drama which has the nation gripped.

Kempner posted the video and tweeted: "Line Of Duty IMPRESSIONS... Steve has discovered the worst crime EVER committed. #LineOfDuty #LOD #MotherOfGod #LineOfLukey"

In reply to his tweet, Steve B (@stevieb998_ replied: "Mother of God that was Utterly brilliant...."

Kempner took his one man show The Only Way Is Downton (where he did impressions of the characters of Downton Abbey) to theatres and festivals across the UK, including Latitude and two years at the Edinburgh Fringe.

He has also appeared in Murder In Successville, has appeared on Comedy Central’s Drunk History and recently appeared on ITV's Celebrity Karaoke Club.
