Where is Escape to the Farm with Kate Humble filmed? Filming location of the Channel 5 show's second series

The perpetually chirpy Kate Humble is inviting us back into her wonderful Welsh farm with the second series of Escape to the Farm.

This season sees her and husband Ludo Graham get to grips with a new litter of pigs and prepare for an intense lambing season.

Set among lush countryside and selling a scaled back lifestyle, the show stirs up a combination of escapism and envy in most viewers.

But where exactly was the series filmed?

The series is filmed in Penallt in the Wye Valley by Monmouth. Monmouthshire is situated in the southeast of the principality on the border with England

Humble and her husband have lived on the farm Humble By Nature for almost a decade.

Humble swapped London for the peaceful 117 acres of Welsh countryside in 2011.

When can I watch Escape to the Farm?

Episode one of the second series airs at 8pm on April 15.

There will be eight episodes in total with each airing on Channel 5 on Thursday nights.

What’s happening in series 2 of the show?

Channel 5 have released this synopsis for episode one of the show:

“On the farm it’s scanning time – to find out how many lambs each ewe is carrying. It’s a tense time for Kate and Farmer Tim and the results will lead plans for looking after the pregnant ewes. Farmer Tim has an ideal number of lambs in mind, but will he get his wish?

“It’s not just the sheep getting ready to produce the next generation. Ted the Boar is back to spend some quality time with the farm’s breeding sows. Kate’s anxious as it’s the first time for Dahlia, and, after her tricky labour and small litter last year, how will Sausage get on?

“With spring on its way, Kate’s off foraging with Liz Knight, proving that even at this time of year, there are delicious, nutritious goodies all around us.

“Kate joins old friend and producer Angharad Underwood to make marmalade the easy way, and shares a simple one-pan Chocolate and Marmalade cake. A perfect treat after a hard day of farming.

“Lastly, Kate’s cooking up a treat for Ludo; Toad in the Hole. It’s a dish she’s never taken to, but that’s love for you. Can Kate convert herself to this hearty, warming classic?”
