White Rose hosts Mahogany Market for Black History Month celebration

White Rose Shopping Centre is bringing back the Mahogany Market on Saturday 19th October from 10am to 5pm, inviting shoppers to support local Black-owned businesses and explore handmade crafts, food, drinks, and unique gifts.

The market features:

Mouth-watering candyfloss “as big as your head” from Rae of Sunshine Events Satin bonnets from Jeanie’s Satins Gold-plated jewellery created by Damilola Jewellery Ugandan crafts from Sew UKClothing by Certified Empire Premium beard-care products from That Guy Beard Care Vegan makeup from Iysha Cosmetics.

Founded in September 2020, the Mahogany Market curates events and proudly showcases Afro-Caribbean culture through local artisans and handcrafted items. It cultivates connections between the community and local enterprises by offering a diverse range of products and services in its surrounding areas.
