Japan Food Express Ltd issues urgent recall of Daisho Hakata Ramen Noodle Tonkotsu over undeclared sesame

A ramen product has been recalled over an undeclared allergen, the Food Safety Agency has said.

Japan Food Express Ltd said it is recalling its Daisho Hakata Ramen Noodle Tonkotsu because they contain sesame, which is not mentioned on the label, meaning it poses a health risk for anyone with an allergy to sesame.

The Food Standards Agency said: “Japan Food Express Ltd is recalling the above product from customers and they will be contacting the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a recall notice to its customers.

“If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to sesame, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. For more information, contact Japan Food Express Ltd on 020 3909 1555 or [email protected].”
