Katie Price’s boyfriend Carl Woods has been charged with using threatening, abusive or insulting language, Essex Police have said.
The couple have made headlines in recent months, after Katie crashed her car while under the influence of alcohol and spent time in rehab.
Price was also charged with driving while disqualified and driving without insurance, she plead guilty to taking drugs before getting behind the wheel.
After a tumultuous few months for the pair, they flew to Vegas and obtained a marriage licence just days after US border restrictions lifted.
So, who is Carl Woods and what do we know about the former reality star? This is what you need to know.
Who is Carl Woods?
Carl Woods is a car salesman who made a brief appearance on ITV’s Love Island, back in 2016.
Since then, he has largely made his money through working at his family’s car dealership.
He has made brief appearances on other TV shows, including ITV2 murder mystery reality series Killer Camp in 2018, which he won.
He is 32 years old and has no children, he was largely unknown until he became Price’s boyfriend in 2020.
His net worth is not known, thought several media outlets have suggested he is worth less than £1Million.
How did he meet Katie Price?
Price and Woods have known each other for some time, through mutual friends and television work.
The couple were set up through their friends and became a couple in June 2020, just 10 months before Woods popped the question in April this year.
It is thought that he proposed with a £50k diamond ring, which has allegedly been taken in an ‘unprovoked attack’ on Price.
Prior to dating Katie, Woods admits he was a big fan of her in her pin-up days - with posters of the glamour model on the walls of his teenage bedroom.
What happened to Katie Price in her car accident?
On September 28, Price was taken to hospital after a 'drug and drink-drive' crash that could leave her facing jail, according to The Sun.
The model, who lost her licence when she failed to tell police who was driving her pink Range Rover when it crashed in south east London and due to get her licence back until 13 October this year, is thought to have escaped with minor injuries.
Her family have shared a message saying their "worst fears nearly came true" in her alleged "drink-drive" crash.
She was involved in a collision on the B2135 near Partridge Green at around 6.20am, where she was arrested on suspicion of driving while above the legal limit for alcohol and drugs, and was taken to hospital.
The road was closed for around three hours following the incident.
A statement from Sussex Police said on Wednesday morning: “Katie Price, 43, of Worthing Road, Horsham, was charged with using a motor vehicle on a public place without third party insurance and driving while disqualified.
“She was remanded in custody and will appear at Crawley Remand Court on Wednesday.”
She has since plead guilty to all charges.
What is known about their wedding in Las Vegas?
Price, 43, and 32-year-old Woods flew to Las Vegas almost immediately upon the US borders reopening to UK tourists.
It was revealed on Monday 15 November that they have now obtained a marriage licence to wed in Nevada, where she married second husband, Alex Reid.
Woods and his soon-to-be wife have also inked matching tattoos since arriving in Las Vegas, ahead of their nuptials.
A source close to Price reportedly said: “They want it to be a romantic gesture to display their love for one another.” As well as the tattoos, the couple were also planning to visit a machine gun range, and have also been to the Grand Canyon.
“They are making the most of their trip and doing all the usual touristy things.”
While they now have one year to use their marriage licence, it is expected that they will marry in the coming days before flying home to cement their vows at a registry office in the UK.
What’s he been charged with?

The 33-year-old was arrested following an incident in Little Canfield on August 23 2021.
