Action hero Chuck Norris has been hospitalised after a medical emergency, according to reports. Celebrity website TMZ said the star was taken ill in Hawaii, but said he remains in good spirits.
Famed for movies such as The Way of the Dragon alongside Bruce Lee and as the star of long-running series Walker, Texas Ranger, the martial arts expert celebrated his 86th birthday earlier this month.

TMZ said sources said he was taken ill on the island of Kauai, just hours after training on the island and speaking with friends on the phone. A video posted by Norris - a grandfather of 13 - on his birthday showed him working out in rigorous fashion with a trainer.
Norris has taken a back seat in recent years, having hosted a documentary for the History Channel entitled Chuck Norris’ Epic Guide to Military Vehicles in 2019, and in 2020, he appeared in the series finale of Hawaii Five-0, before being featured as a character in the video game World of Tanks during a 2021 event.
