BBC Call the Midwife actress Helen George was spotted in London on what appeared to be a double date with co-star Olly Rix. The pair play on-screen lovers Trixie Franklin and Matthew Aylward in the BBC series and recently sparked real-life romance rumours.

Helen, 39, and Olly, 36, were seen heading into a taxi after leaving a pub in Kensington along with her Jack Russell, Charlie. The pair dressed casually for what appeared to be a double date with friends. Helen looked effortlessly stylish in a black top paired with boot-cut jeans and black leather overcoat and fur trim, while Olly looked relaxed in a grey sweater, jeans and trainer combo.

Both actors have recently split with their partners, fuelling fans' speculation they are now dating. Helen George confirmed she had split from fellow Call the Midwife co-star Jack Ashton - who plays Tom Hereward - in November 2023. They dated for seven years and have two young daughters. At the time Helen shared a statement which read: “Some months ago, we separated. Our two beautiful girls remain the focus and I respectfully ask for privacy for this next chapter.”

In July 2023 Olly Rix confirmed he had split from long-term girlfriend, make-up artist Natasha Fagri; they also dated for seven years. A source told The Sun “Olly and Natasha were very happy together for a long time, but eventually drifted apart due to work commitments. They have a lot of respect for each other and share custody of their pet dog. They are both busy with work and focusing on their future and different projects.”
