Charlotte Dawson reveals baby girl, hopes it helps fiancé Matt Sarsfield 'respect women' amid sexting scandal
Pregnant Charlotte Dawson has revealed she’s expecting a baby girl, sharing the emotional moment on her Naughty Corner podcast.
In the episode, the Ex On The Beach star nervously plunged a glass into a cake and pulled it out to reveal pink sponge, announcing: “Finally – I’m having a girl!” However, her fiancé Matt Sarsfield, who was recently involved in a sexting scandal that strained their relationship, was notably absent from the gender reveal.
The reality TV star confessed that she already knew the baby’s gender before the filmed reveal. “I’m so happy. It’s finally out. It’s been the hardest secret ever as I’m so bad at keeping secrets as you know. I feel so relieved that I can finally say it, but I just can’t believe it, and I never thought I’d have a girl.
“I’ve finally got my little princess, and we weren’t even trying were we?” she said. Charlotte, who is already a mother to two boys, Noah, three, and Jude, one, added: "I’m so happy I’m going to have my little best friend for life.”

Before learning the gender, Charlotte spoke to OK! about Matt’s sexting scandal, expressing her hope that having a daughter would change his attitude toward women. "It would help him understand respect for females. He’d understand why you can’t treat women that way. I think being a girl dad would make him a better man," she said.
Pregnancy has been tough for Charlotte amid the scandal. "It’s been a crazy time. Having to deal with the heartache, the hurt, the disappointment and being pregnant on top of it all… it’s been absolutely horrible,” she admitted.
Though Matt has returned to the family home, Charlotte said forgiveness is still a long way off. "I made him go and say sorry to the life-size cardboard cutout I keep of my dad (the late comedian Les Dawson). And he has a lot of making up to do with my mum, too."
Charlotte had previously speculated she might be having a girl, saying, "I do feel really sick, and I do feel different to the boys so come on, let's pray for pink! I need a mini-me."
