John Travolta Cannes appearance: Age of Ella Bleu Travolta, how old is he, why did he change his look?

John Travolta was accompanied by his daughter Ella Bleu Travolta to the Cannes Film Festival 2026. Wearing a French beret style hat, he took to Instagram four days ago and shared a video of himself and daughter Ella Bleu arriving in the South of France on a private jet. He said: “Big day, big night in Cannes. Stay tuned!”

The Festival de Cannes wrote: “Welcome to Cannes, John! We can’t wait to see your film on the screens of the Palais!” Debi Mazar said: “Congratulations!!! You and Ella looked beautiful! Well deserved honor!”

Bas Smit wrote: “John you look so young! 🙌” John Travolta also took to Instagram to show a photograph of him receiving the Palme d’Or Award and wrote: “I’ve never been more proud to win an award! To me the Cannes Palme d’Or award has always represented art at its finest. It is beyond a humbling experience.”

In response, John Travolta’s daughter Ella Bleu Travolta wrote: “I’m so proud of you❤️ .” On return to the US, John Travolta appeared on The Tonight Show and brought his award with him. The reason why John Travolta was at the Cannes Film Festival 2026 was not only to receive the Palm d’Or Award but also because he was there for his directorial debut, a film ‘Propeller One-Way Night Coach,’ starring his daughter Ella Bleu.

Two weeks ago Apple TV shared details of it on their Instagram and wrote: “All aboard, please.

“Propeller One-Way Night Coach" takes off May 29 on Apple TV. Written and directed by John Travolta.” Jack Schneider wrote: “Working on this has been one of the highlights of my life!! Can’t wait for the release!!!” Ella Bleu Travolta said: “😍👏❤️✈️ .”

A fan wrote: “I love the book & now I am thrilled to be able to see this amazing movie that has been directed by Mr Travolta. His extremely talented & beautiful daughter, Ella Bleu is also in this movie!!!!”

When he was at the Cannes Film Festival, John Travolta was seen in a beret and he told CNN that “Old school directors wore berets and the glasses and I thought that’s what I’m doing. I’ve been around over 50 years in movies but I can’t tell when I look back, the difference between the events.

“I’m a director this time, you’re an actor, play the part of a director, look like an old school, so I looked up pictures, twenties, thirties, forties, fifties, sixties and the old school directors wore berets and glasses. And I thought that’s what I’m doing. I’m going to do an homage to being a director.

“So I’m going to play the part of being a director. And when I look back I’ll know that was Propeller One-Way Night Coach, that was Cannes, that was when I won the Palme d’Or. And I will have a vividness of it.”

John Travolta is 72 and his daughter Ella Bleu Travolta is 26.
