Pauline Quirke: Birds of a Feather co-star Linda Robinson gives emotional update on Quirke's dementia diagnosis

Pauline Quirke’s co-star has given a latest update on the star’s dementia diagnosis.

Pauline Quirke’s Birds of a Feather co-star Linda Robson has shared a heartwarming update on her long-standing friend. The duo became inseparable at the tender age of 10 and went on to enjoy a successful career together, both on screen and on stage.

They are well known for their roles as sisters Sharon and Tracey in the popular sitcom Birds Of A Feather, but Pauline has now stepped away from acting due to her 2021 dementia diagnosis. Appearing on BBC Breakfast on Monday (December 8) morning alongside Pauline's son Charlie, the Loose Women star confirmed that her co-star is "happy".

Linda recently visited her at home, where Pauline's family, including her husband Steve and their children, continues to support her daily. Speaking in the pre-recorded interview about whether she has seen Pauline, Linda said: "Yes, about three or four weeks ago at a restaurant.

“It was so lovely, I was so happy because she was happy. She was just giggling, and just really enjoying it, she ate everything as well. I left there happy because she was happy, and I knew they were looking after her really well."

Meanwhile, Pauline’s son Charlie is now turning heartbreak into hope as he retraces her steps on an emotional trek to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK, which exists to find a cure for dementia. Charlie will walk 140km from today (December 8) to Friday (December 12), visiting significant places from Pauline’s life before reaching the family home in time for Christmas.
