Isabella is a Trainee Reporter at NationalWorld.com focusing on news and specialising in environment issues and sustainability.

She writes on topics that will mainly attract a national audience but also covers regional issues. She has covered a range of environmental issues from air pollution to how much we actually recycle in the UK to the state of our rivers and seas due to sewage discharges.

She loves to use data to tell a story and some of these are the ones that she is most proud of, including one on the future of Covid which was commended at the NCTJ Awards for Excellence. Another memorable article is one where she interviewed the TV travel presenter Simon Reeve after reviewing his latest book.

Isabella is from Coventry and completed an undergraduate degree in history at the University of Warwick before gaining experience within the journalism industry. Prior to joining NationalWorld.com as a news journalist apprentice, Isabella volunteered as a current affairs editor for Empoword Journalism which is run by a team of young journalists. She edited articles on a variety of topics as well as writing her own on important UK and global issues, and had the opportunity to interview the Deputy Editor of Channel 5 News, Jess Bulman.

In her spare time she loves to travel to new places and visit the sea when she can - Cornwall beaches are some of her favourites. She also enjoys spending her time in nature going for walks and hikes at various spots around the West Midlands and further afield.
