Bangkok Thailand: Grieving family pays tribute as son, 23, dies after horror motorbike crash

A British tourist has tragically died after a horror motorbike crash in Thailand.

Tiger Duggan, 23, was left fighting for his life in a Bangkok hospital after being struck by a vehicle while riding a motorbike earlier this month. In a heart-breaking tribute, the family announced the passing of their “beautiful boy” on Thursday.

In a post on a GoFundMe Page, Mary Duggan wrote: “Our Beautiful soft skinned, beautiful long eye lashed boy with a cheeky charming infectious smile that touched everyone's hearts left this dimension early this morning in my arms. We want to thank everyone that has supported us in Tigers journey from prayers, messages and donations.

“Without those donations Tiger would not have reached his final destination where following his passing this morning in a selfless act has given 3 maybe 4 other people a second chance at life by donating his organs. Thank you all for being apart of Tigers journey, we are all #forevergiving we all together achieved #helpbringtigerhome.

“We have had 19 days of living a nightmare, please now respect our peace and privacy. God bless you all. Goodnight our beautiful boy Tiger Duggan.”

The fundraiser was set up by a group of nurses from Milton Keynes University Hospital, where Tiger’s mother Lisa works, to help cover the costs of bringing Tiger home. As of Thursday, the campaign had raised more than £200,000.

Tiger was initially feared dead after the horror crash, but was resuscitated at the scene and rushed to a small hospital on Koh Samui island. He was then airlifted to a hospital in Bangkok, where he was put on life support.

His mother, Lisa, and aunt Lena were by his side, holding out hope that Tiger would eventually be stable enough to be flown back to the UK.
