Two teenagers were found dead at a holiday park in the UK at half-term.

Ethan Slater, 17, and Cherish Bean, 15, were pronounced dead at the scene at the Little Eden Holiday Park in Bridlington, on Wednesday. A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.

Police are treating the deaths as unexplained but are “exploring the possibility that they may be connected to carbon monoxide poisoning”.

Divisional Commander, Chief Supt Matt Peach, from Humberside Police, said: “Emergency services were in immediate attendance at the holiday park, where sadly a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were pronounced deceased inside the property.

“This is incredibly distressing and heartbreaking for the families of the teenagers involved, and they are at the forefront of our minds and actions. Specially trained officers have been supporting the families over the last 24-hours, and I would please ask people to refrain from any form of speculation and to respect their privacy.”

One holidaymaker told Hull Live: "We woke up on the Wednesday and police, fire brigade and an ambulance crew were there. CSI turned up."

Little Eden offers holiday homes with a private hot tub and terrace. Guests can enjoy a garden and outdoor seating area with adverts saying it is “perfect for relaxation”.
