Singer Halsey is engaged to her child actor boyfriend Avan Jogia after one year of dating

The ‘Bad at Love’ singer, aged 29, confirmed she is actually doing very well in love by confirming her engagement on X.

Reposting a post from celebrity and pop culture feed Pop Base, which feartured a photo of the couple and read “Halsey says she hopes to marry boyfriend Avan Jogia”, the star included asteriks - usually used to make amedments to a written statement or add more detail - calling Jogia her "fiancé”.

Halsey, who will celebrate her milestone 30th birthday later in September, and the former Victorious actor, aged 32, first sparked rumours they were dating a year ago when they were spotted kissing in Los Angeles.

Around one month later, in October 2023, the singer and actress confirmed her relationship with Jogia by sharing a carousel of pictures on Instagram, which included some images of them together. In the pictures, the pair wore matching latex Halloween outfits and Jogia had his arm around Halsey’s shoulders. He also shared photos from the ocassion on his own Instagram account, including two photos featuring Halsey.

The couple coordinated their looks again later in the same month, with Halsey again taking to Instagram to share photos of the pair. "There is a lighthouse in the middle of the deep," she wrote in the caption.

Since then, the loved up pair have continued to share their relationship with their fans via social media. In April, Halsey, who uses she/they pronouns, and Jogia collaborated on an advert for the Energy Angel collection of the singer's make-up brand About Face. The actor directed and starred alongside Halsey in the video, and they were both also make-up artists for the shoot.

Jogia is an actor best known for his role in the Nickelodeon series Victorious. He went on to star in the television shows Now Apocalypse and Orphan Black: Echoes, along with movies Ten Thousand Saints and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.

In a 2019 interview with Attitude, Jogia said he did not feel comfortable labeling his sexuality. In 2012, Jogia began dating actress Zoey Deutch when they were seen attending the Kid's Choice Awards together, but the couple broke up after five years. He then dated another actress, Cleopatra Coleman, from 2017 to 2021.

Halsey, meanwhile dated 1975 musicians Matty Healy until 2015. She’s also been in relationships with Norwegian producer Lido, musician Yungblud, and American actor Evan Peters. She shares her son, Ender Ridley, aged 3, with her ex-boyfriend Turkish-American screenwriter Alex Aydin. The two began dating in July 2021 but split amicably in April 2023. The pair co-parent their son.
