Angela Bassett is first Oscar nominated star for Marvel while Kanye West could be denied entry to Australia

Angela Bassett is one powerhouse of a woman and deservedly takes top spot on PeopleWorld’s hot list today. After all, she has made HISTORY for being the first star to be Oscar nominated for a Marvel movie.

Wow, Angela, that is an incredible achievement. There were lots of firsts when it came to the Oscar nominations that were announced yesterday, and these include Michelle Yeoh who made history as the first Asian nominated for the Best Actress category at the Oscars.

Girl Power indeed and I am all for it!

Next up is Justin Bieber who has just made a cool $200 million from selling his music catalogue. Whilst some are questioning why he has made this move now, it is worth pointing out that the British song management company who have purchased Justin’s publishing rights and artists royalties, have not obtained the master records as they still belong to the Universal music Group.

This will allay some ‘Belieber’ fans' fears that Justin should have sold out for more.

The final star gracing our hot list today is Miley Cyrus as her ‘Flowers’ has debuted at No.1 both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl.US. charts. You go Miley, 2023 is beginning so well for you.

So how about our nots for today?

Well Kanye West reportedly could be denied entry to Australia (according to a government minister) because of his history of anti semitic comments. Oh dear Kanye. The rapper was planning to visit Australia as he had just ‘married’ Bianca Censori who grew up in Melbourne.

Next up is Kendall Jenner who has been ‘roasted’ on social media for being ‘out of touch’ and ‘entitled.’ The 27-year old who was recently in Dubai to see Beyonce perform was filmed by friends complaining about previous trips to Dubai. She reportedly said: “This is my third time. The first two times were horrible.”

The last ‘not’ today is Justin Roiland as he has been dropped from Rick and Morty after domestic abuse charges.
