As Renée Zellweger is reportedly ‘engaged’ to Ant Anstead, who is he and is he connected to Selling Sunset?

It would seem congratulations could be in order for Hollywood actress and star of "Bridget Jones' Diary" Renée Zellweger, as she is reportedly engaged to Ant Anstead. If you are not familiar with the British television presenter Ant Anstead, he is best known for co-presenting the Channel 4 show "For The Love of Cars" with Philip Glenister.

If you head over to Ant Anstead’s website, you will discover that he started out as one of the UK’s youngest armed police officers, but changed direction in his career at the age of just 25. As well as presenting  "For The Love of Cars," Ant Anstead also starred alongside Mike Brewer in ‘Wheeler Dealers.’

Ant Anstead moved from the UK to the States in 2017 to film ‘Wheeler Dealers.’ He was previously married to Louise Herbert and has two children with her, Amelie and Archie Anstead, and often shares photographs of them on social media. 

When Anstead moved to the States, he met "Flip or Flop" presenter Christina Hall; the couple married and had a son Hudson London, but announced their split in 2020 citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ for the cause. At the time of the split, Christina said “Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate. We are grateful for each other, and as always, our children will remain our priority.”

Ant Anstead’s connection to Selling Sunset is only through his ex wife Christina Hall. Hall, who is now married to Josh Hall, was previously married to her "Flip or Flop" co-star Tarek El Moussa from 2009 to 2018. The couple share two children, daughter, Taylor, and son, Brayden.

Now, where does "Selling Sunset" come into this? Well, Christina’s ex Tarek El Moussa is now married to "Selling Sunset" star Heather Rae El Moussa, and the couple have recently welcomed son Tristan in January of this year. 

Heather Rae El Moussa stars alongside the likes of Chrishell Stause in the hit Netflix series.

Ant Anstead and Renée Zellweger met on the set of "Celebrity IOU: Joyride" (Ant Anstead was the host), and the pair reportedly hit it off immediately. The Sun has reported that “The Hollywood actress, 54, has told close pals that she and British boyfriend Ant Anstead, 44, are tying the knot following a low-key engagement.”

Recently, Ant Anstead shared a photograph of him and Renee, alongside his children, Amelie and Archie on Instagram. One person said; “Renee looks AMAZING and You two are the cutest couple! Adorable children. I wish the best for you… you seem extremely happy! Good for you!”
