Netflix has been teasing fans with its latest thriller starring actress Lily Collins.

The streaming service has described the film as “a Hitchcockian thriller following a young couple (Collins and Jesse Plemons) who arrive at their vacation home only to find it’s being robbed”.

The hour and a half film has been directed by Charlie McDowell, son of English acting legend Malcolm McDowell.

The trailer gives fans an exciting first look at what appears to be a gripping crime film.

Windfall will be available to stream on Netflix from Friday 18 March 2022.

A small cast has been announced for the movie, led by actor Jason Segal.

Segal is best known for his role as Marshall Eriksen in the TV series How I Met Your Mother, but has also starred in films such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall and The Muppets.

The actor was also involved in the development of the movie with IMDB crediting Segal with writing credit for the movie.

Segal is credited as playing ‘Nobody’, the man who has broken into the vacation home of a CEO and his wife.

Starring alongside Segal in Windfall is actress Collins.

The daughter of musician Phil Collins, Lily is most known for her recent role as Emily Cooper  in Emily in Paris on Netflix.

Collins has also starred in movies such as Love, Rosie, Tolkien and Stuck in Love.

The actress also helped produce the new Netflix movie and told her fans on Instagram that making the film was “a beautiful experience that turned into an incredible, bizarre piece of art”.

Starring alongside Segal and Collins, is actor Plemons, who is currently nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars for his role in The Power of the Dog.

Plemons has also starred in films such as The Irishman and Battleship, but is also known for his role in television series Fargo.

Joining the cast is actor Omar Leyva, who is most known for his roles in Grey’s Anatomy and Ice Box.

Leyva has a host of TV acting credits to his name, taking on roles in CSI: Crime Scene Investigations, 90210 and Criminal Minds.

The film has been directed by Charlie McDowell who is most known for directing The One I Love, Silicon Valley and The Discovery.

Charlie shared the announcement of Windfall by telling his Instagram fans that “I think we made something unique and completely outside the box”.
