But who is Naruto, how can you get your hands on the skin, and when will it be available?

Here is everything you need to know.

Who is Naruto?

Naruto Uzumaki is the lead character in the manga and anime franchise Naruto, which dates back to the 90s.

He is a young ninja from the fictional village of Konohagakure (Hidden Leaf Village), and is ridiculed and ostracised by the villager on account of a malevolent creature that attacked Konohagakure and was sealed away in Naruto’s body called the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox.

Despite this, he aspires to become his village's leader, the Hokage, in order to receive their approval.

His carefree, optimistic and boisterous personality enables him to befriend other Konohagakure ninja, as well as ninja from other villages

When can I get the Naruto skin?

Naruto’s inclusion in the game has been rumoured for almost a year now, with dataminers and leakers uncovering evidence of the skin’s inclusion within the game’s code one week, and finding reference to it gone the next.

Naruto’s inclusion has since been confirmed by Fortnite’s developers Epic Games, who revealed the character will be making his way to the game on Tuesday 16 November.

No exact time has been confirmed as to when the skin might go live, though it is expected to be around 2pm UK time.

What else will be available?

It's not just the Naruto skin.

Additional cosmetics based on the series will also be made available, along with a new Creative mode hub based on the Hidden Leaf village.

In October, reliable Fornite leaker HYPEX detailed a new type of weapon - the kunai, or throwing knife - based on Naruto and classic ninja history.

HYPEX was also able to leak an image of a promotional flyer for the Naruto x Fortnite event, which showed not only Naruto, but also series regulars Kakashi, Sasuke and Sakura.

This implies that all four characters - including Naruto - will be available as skins.

There will also likely be bonus themed challenges that unlock other cosmetics. We’ll update this article as and when we know more.

How do I get the skin?

It’s thought that Naruto will be available as a V-nucks purchase, though that has yet to be confirmed, as has the price for which he might sell for.

Depending on whether Epic Games decided to opt to sell Naruto as a standalone skin or as part of a bundle with the other characters, he could go for anywhere between 1,200 - 2,200 V-bucks.
