Thanks to my colleague Benjamin Jackson, I have to admit that I have most definitely become a BLACKPINK fan and more specifically a Jennie Kim one. I literally want to wear everything in her wardrobe. Of course, it does help that she is a Chanel ambassador, but I guarantee no matter what she chose to wear, she would look equally as chic in that.

So, when a press release about a BLACKPINK forthcoming London pop-up shop landed in my inbox, I was very excited! I am so excited I might very well have to pay a visit to the pop up, presented by American Express which is going to be on London’s Marylebone Road.

The artistic director for the BLACKPINK pop-up is Japanese graphic artist, VERDY. Fans will not only be able to purchase limited-edition merchandise such as hoodies, hats, t-shirts and accessories designed exclusively by VERDY for the event, but there will also be immersive photo moment opportunities from the group’s Born Pink World Tour.

In Los Angeles last year, BLACKPINK curated a pop-up that was hosted by Spotify. Before the event, Rolling Stone said:, “Dreamt up by Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, the curated space features photo ops, all-new BLACKPINK merch and exclusive Spotify x BLACKPINK giveaways that will only be available during the weekend.”

In March 2023, an exhibition and pop-up store for BLACKPINK launched in Jakarta, Indonesia. The event took place at the Senayan Park (SPARK) Mall. It was hosted by Flimty, who were the commercial partners for their Jakarta concerts which took place on March 11 and March 12.

Only recently, Jisoo from BLACKPINK tested positive for COVID-19 and the news was announced through BLACKPINK’S Weverse page through their management team, YG Entertainment. There were also recent health concerns for fellow band member Jennie when she was forced to leave the stage during their tour stop in Australia due to her ‘deteriorating condition.’

YG Entertainment issued a statement where they said: “Jennie was unable to complete the stage due to her deteriorating condition.”

As well as having a hectic schedule with the band, Jennie also stars in TV show The Idol under the name of Jennie Ruby Jane and made her debut at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival in custom Chanel, and of course looked divine.

Here at PeopleWorld, we are hoping that Jennie and Jisoo can recover from their recent health issues in time for their performance in London in July.

BLACKPINK’S London pop-up on Marleybone Road will take place on the following dates:

  • Thursday 29 June: 12-7pm
  • Friday 30 June: 11-7pm
  • Saturday 1 July: 10-7pm
