Who is Jungkook; the BTS artist set to release their debut solo album later this year after single success?

Jimin, J-Hope and now Jungkook are set to continue their solo exploits as other members of BTS continue their compulsory military service in South Korea. Big Hit Music has confirmed that Jungkook, a member of the popular K-pop group BTS, is preparing to release his debut solo album. While the exact release plan is yet to be finalised, the agency stated that an official announcement will be made once the schedule for Jungkook's solo album has been confirmed

This highly anticipated album will mark Jungkook's official solo debut, however, the BTS member has already showcased his solo talents through several previous releases. Notable examples include 'Dreamers,' a song he contributed to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, 'My You,' which was released as part of BTS' 2022 Festa celebrations, and 'Stay Alive,' a track featured on the 7Fates: CHAKHO soundtrack.

Aside from his solo endeavours, Jungkook continues to collaborate and work with his fellow BTS members. Just last month, BTS released a brand-new song called 'The Planet' for the soundtrack of an upcoming South Korean animated series called Bastions, recorded by all seven members of the group, with a follow up single “Take Two” set for release June 9 2023 as part of BTS FESTA 2023.

In addition to his solo musical pursuits, Jungkook has recently made waves in the fashion industry. He has been appointed as the new global ambassador for the renowned fashion brand Calvin Klein. As part of his role, Jungkook has already starred in a captivating campaign for Calvin Klein's Spring 2023 collection, further solidifying his presence and influence in the realm of fashion

It's worth mentioning that Calvin Klein has previously enlisted the participation of other notable artists and celebrities for their campaigns, such as BLACKPINK member Jennie Kim, who was featured in Calvin Klein's spring campaign alongside renowned figures like FKA Twigs, Kendall Jenner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Michael B. Jordan.

The news of a Calvin Klein ambassadorship parallels another popular BTS member, Jimin, who late last year became an ambassador for the fashion house Dior, leading to an appearance only last month in London for a fashion event (or perhaps something more secretive…) 

Who is Jungkook?

Jungkook (sometimes spelled Jung Kook) is a member of the renowned K-Pop group BTS and has not only made a significant impact within the group but has also collaborated with various artists, showcasing his versatility and talent. He has lent his captivating voice to several hit singles outside of BTS's discography, though that wasn’t always the case - at one stage after returning from the USA in order to improve his dancing, Jungkook decided to become a professional dancer, which BTS member Jimin ultimately talked him out of.

A notable collaboration featuring Jungkook is his duet with Lee So-ra, a celebrated South Korean singer. In 2019, they released the song "Song Request" (신청곡), which became a massive success, topping various music charts in South Korea and earning widespread acclaim for their vocal chemistry and emotional delivery. The track's introspective lyrics and soothing melodies perfectly complemented Jungkook's expressive vocals, solidifying his position as a prominent artist beyond BTS.

Another notable collaboration involving Jungkook is his participation in the song "Euphoria."
