I am a firm believer in age is but a number. My late grandmother was just a few months short of turning 101 when she passed away and she luckily had a very active and sharp mind right up to the end. She was a huge figure in my life and it is because of her I feel so strongly that younger generations should not only respect older people but more importantly, LEARN from them too!

So, what has this got to do with PeopleWorld’s hot and not listed today? Well, it leads me onto Dolly Parton who is on our hot list for a second day in a row ( you should feel honoured Dolly!). Wow, Dolly Parton, you may have just turned 77, but you are certainly keeping yourself firmly in the headlines and I certainly admire you for that!

Dolly has joined forces with Belinda Carlisle, Cyndi Lauper, Gloria Estefan and Debbie Harry to release new song “Gonna Be You” which was written by Diana Warren for the new movie 80 for Brady. What a group of women! Dolly, I can’t wait to see what you do in three years when you turn 80!

Next up today is Andy Murray, or The Comeback King as he should now be referred to as. His five-set victory (when he was two sets down against Thanasi Kokkinakis) at the Australian Open was nothing short of incredible. “It was unbelievable that I managed to turn that around,” he said. ‘Incredible’ is indeed the most apposite word here!

From the world of tennis to the world of fashion. Emily in Paris star Lucien Laviscount certainly made sure all eyes were on him when he rocked a pleated skirt at the Louis Vuitton Show during Paris Fashion Week. Lucien is following the likes of Brad Pitt, Lewis Hamilton and Taika Waititi who have all shown that skirts are on trend for men.

From the world of hots to the world of nots…

First up is Prince William. Although he remains the most popular British royal, he has seen his popularity plummet due to the fallout from Prince Harry’s memoir Spare.

In fact, the whole of the royal family have seen their popularity decline because of it.

Next up is Rishi Sunak. His failure to wear a seat belt is reportedly to be investigated by Lancashire Police. The Prime Minister has apologised for this and said it was an “error of judgement” to remove his seat belt to film a social media clip.

From the world of politics in the Uk to Hollywood and to Alec Baldwin.

The actor is to be charged with involuntary manslaughter which comes more than a year after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot by him on the “Rust” movie set.
