Trans artist Kim Petras makes history while Liz Truss’s big ‘comeback’ might not be on..

We certainly are in the full swing of things when it comes to awards season. First up, today is hotter than not Harry Styles, who is as expected top of our hot list today, but does also have a mention in our worst dressed article too!

When Harry Styles won album of the Year at the 2023 Grammys, he looked visibly shocked when his name was called out. Although he was up against the likes of Beyonce and Bad Bunny, it was Harry who took home the coveted award.

As much as I was impressed with Harry’s wins on the nights, I was less impressed with his multi-coloured jumpsuit that was unfavourably compared to that of Elmer the Patchwork Elephant. Oh well, Harry, I am afraid you can’t win them all!

Next up today on our hot list is Kim Petras. Kim became the first trans woman to win Best PopDuo/Group performance. The German singer revealed that non-binary artist Sam Smith let her accept the trophy for both of them in honour of the fact that she had made history with the win. “I want to thank all the incredible transgender legends before me who kicked these doors open,” she revealed.

The final star on our hot list today is YouTuber PewDiePie. He literally broke the Internet over the weekend when he revealed that he and his wife Marzia Kjelberg are expecting their first child together. When they announced the news, they had over YouTube 680,000 views in just one hour. Wow PewDiePie, that is impressive!

Now onto our not so hots…

Enter Shania Twain in her somewhat unusual Dalmation-esque Grammys outfit. Now, don’t get me wrong. I absolutely love the Dalmatian breed and of course the iconic 101 Dalmatians, but I draw the line at being inspired by the dog’s distinctive black and white spots for your red carpet outfit!

Next up is Prince Harry. Trevor Noah is the latest host to mock the royal over his ‘frost-bitten’ penis revelation in Spare, and follows in the footsteps of Chelsea Handler who roasted him at the Critics Choice Awards. Oh dear, Harry. What with the Sasha Walpole revelations and now another ‘frost-bitten’ penis dig, you haven’t had the best of weekends!

Last up today is Liz Truss. There is a name you didn’t expect to read about for a while, but you were wrong! Liz published an essay in one of yesterday’s Sunday papers where she said that she had “not (been) given a realistic chance to enact my policies by a very powerful economic establishment, coupled with a lack of political support.”

I rather like Dragons Den’s Deborah Meaden’s interpretation of Liz Truss’s essay. Deborah said on Twitter: 'I never invest in people who make excuses.' I couldn't agree with you more Deborah!
