"My return to touring began at Hyde Park in 2014," he said. "It seems like the perfect place to do our final show. We couldn’t be more excited to share this special night in London with our UK fans. As the song goes, ‘we’re gonna do it One More Time’."

The band shot to fame after the release of 10538 Overture in 1972, which charted in the UK top 10. A series of hits followed, with the band selling more than 50 million records around the world, before breaking up in 1986.

Lynne returned to the fray in 2000 for the release of the Flashback box set, before a new album, Zoom, in 2001, which included guest appearances by both Ringo Starr and George Harrison - who had previously played alongside Lynne in the Travelling Wilburys. Jeff Lynne's ELO - the final incarnation of the band - starting performing in 2014, with ELO inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.

Jim King, chief executive of European festivals at AEG Presents, said fans could expect a stunning show at Hyde Park.

"Jeff Lynne’s ELO are loved the world over," he said. "The live shows are nothing short of extraordinary and a testament to the incredible catalogue of hits we’ve enjoyed for over 50 years. Hosting their final performance at BST Hyde Park is a true honour, especially 30 years after their first festival show in the same park. We’re excited to be part of this special moment in music history."

Jeff Lynne's ELO will perform on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at BST Hyde Park, with tickets on sale from 9am on Friday, October 25.
