Jungkook, the most recent member of BTS to begin his career as a K-Soloist as more members enlist in their military service, has once again made history this past week - becoming the most-streamed K-Pop soloist (keep that phrase in mind - K-Pop soloist) on Spotify.

According to Kworb, the “Seven” singer has amassed 229,962,320 plays from that single alone, dominating the Spotify global chart once again, with his closest competitor, “LALA” by Myke Towers, currently sitting on 180,759,519 streams. Jungkook had already surpassed the record for most monthly listened for a K-Soloist in history with over 35 million plays in one month - again for “Seven.”

"Seven" by Jungkook also holds the Guinness World Record as well for the most streamed song by a male artist in a week on Spotify history with 89.7M streams, which was previously held by 'As It Was by' Harry Styles with 78.4M streams.

Although he has broken the record for a K-Soloist, it’s still his main unit, BTS, that holds the record for the most streams for a K-Pop artist with a Guinness World Record breaking 31 billion plays on the streaming platform. However, NewJeans might be on their toes after their recent Billboard success.

In the week since their EP, “Get Up,” was released the band has placed fifth in Kworb’s aggregated chart of all the major music streaming platforms, while in the weekly Spotify chart, “Super Shy” may have dropped from ninth to seventeenth as of writing, the track has still amassed an impressive 96,655,111 streams in total.
