Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees 2026: Ryan Seacrest announces acts including Oasis, Iron Maiden and Phil Collins during American Idol

Oasis, Iron Maiden and Phil Collins lead the 2026 list of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees - which boasts six British acts. Fellow Brits set to be inducted into the prestigious archive are soul voice Sade, rocker Billy Idol and Manchester icons Joy Division and New Order, who share a single nomination.

The 2026 honourees were announced by Ryan Seacrest during an episode of American Idol on Tuesday and also included Wu-Tang Clan, Queen Latifah, Luther Vandross and Latin superstar Celia Cruz.

Drummer and vocalist Collins’ 2026 induction will be his second, having previously been honoured as a member of Genesis in 2010. Meanwhile, Joy Division and New Order share a single induction, with the latter formed by the remaining members after the 1980 death of Joy Division lead singer Ian Curtis.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame chairman John Sykes said: “Induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is music’s highest honour. We look forward to celebrating these remarkable artists at this year’s ceremony – it’s going to be an unforgettable night.”

Artists are eligible for inclusion in the hall 25 years after releasing their first commercial recording. Joy Division, Oasis and Billy Idol were among last year’s nominees who failed to make the cut.

The 2026 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place in Los Angeles in November, before debuting on Disney+ in December. More than 1,200 artists, historians and music industry professionals vote to decide the nominees each year.
