Has Shakira moved on from ex-partner Gerard Piqué? Singer reportedly ‘dating’ new man

Shakira may have found love again according to claims made by Spanish media after a bitter split from ex-boyfriend of 11 years Gerard Piqué. The Columbian singer had a very messy break up with her former Spanish footballer Gerard in June 2022. 

Shakira said the reason for the split was because Piqué - who she shares two children with - had been unfaithful. This led to a public spat with both ‘throwing shade’ at each other. Just a month after the pair split the footballer went Instagram official with new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti. In a song lyric Shakira wrote: “You traded a Ferrari for a [Renault] Twingo/ You.” Gerard responded by driving a Twingo car to an event. It got petty quickly. 

But it seems the ‘Hips Don’t Lie' singer may have moved on after website OK Diario claimed she had met a ‘mystery man’ several months ago. The news site explained:  “It seems the Colombian singer could have found a new illusion in the shape of a mysterious man she apparently met in Miami and has been in contact with for four months.” There were no further details but the publication did rule out that it was not Argentina Antonio de la Rua who the singer dated before Gerard. 

In November Shakira and Gerard signed a custody agreement and is said to be moving from Barcelona in April to Miami with her children. It could be then that the singer goes public with her ‘new relationship’ watch this space.
