Anticipation for this year's Spotify Wrapped is growing after speculation is rife that it will drop today.
The annual event gives listeners a summary of their listening habits over the last year - from their favourite artists to top podcasts. Wrapped usually appears in the week after Thanksgiving, so the launch could literally be any minute now.
Spotify posted a landing page on Wednesday, telling users they'd "get in touch when it's ready". Last year, the gates opened on Wednesday 4 December, leading users to speculate that the listening figures will drop today.
Anyone with a Spotify account - even a free one - can access their stats directly from the Spotify app. On the landing page, the company advises users to update their app to the most recent version to ensure the best experience.
Once you're in, Spotify will present a carousel of slides, with insights into your favourite songs, top genres and most-played podcasts.
Women dominated music trends on Spotify in 2024, with Taylor Swift crowned the biggest artist of the year. All five of the biggest-streamed albums were by women, including Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish, Karol G and Ariana Grande.
When it came to podcasts, the controversial Joe Rogan Experience took the number spot on the global chart for the fifth consecutive year. Rogan’s podcast was followed by Call Her Daddy at number two, Huberman Lab at number three, This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von at number four, and The Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett at number five.
