Who are Pete Davidson and Emily Ratajkowski new year’s romances, Chase Sui Wonders and Eric André?

2023 is well underway and already the love life of Pete Davidson is under the microscope once again. The former Saturday Night Live performer and star of The King of Staten Island spent most of 2022 in the companionship of Kim Kardashian, and the ire of one Ye (Kanye West), but with the couple calling time late in the year, all eyes are now on the latest of Davidson’s loves.

It’s not just Pete Davidson that has found a new companion for the New Year, as Emily Ratajkowski has been seen several times with the star of one of television’s most off-beat talk shows and an Adult Swim favourite. Ratajkowski had recently separated from her husband, actor and producer Sebastian Bear-McClard, filing for divorce in September 2022.

So just who are the duo now being seen out and about with, and how did they meet? Peopleworld takes a look at both Chase Sui Wonders, currently associated with Davidson, and surrealist television comedian Eric André, currently associated with Ratajkowski.

Who is Chase Sui Wonders?

26-year-old Chase Sui Wonders appeared alongside Pete Davidson in the 2022 comedy-horror Bodies Bodies Bodies, which also featured in the ensemble cast Maria Bakalova (Borat 2) and Lee Pace (The Hobbit film series, Pushing Daisies), which would possibly explain how the two met.

Before being cast as Emma in the horror movie, Wonders started her career acting, writing and directing two short films in 2009 and 2015, before finding a larger audience after being cast in the HBO Max series Generation. Wonders’ played Riley in the dramedy, which centres on a group of high school students in Orange County, California, who explore their sexuality in a modern world. This tests their deeply entrenched beliefs about life, love and the nature of family in their conservative community.

Chase Sui Wonders is set also to appear on the AppleTV+ series City on Fire, based on the 2015 novel by Garth Risk Hallberg, which follows the investigation of a Central Park shooting that took place on New Year's Eve during the 1970s

Who is Eric André?

He is the star of the irreverent Adult Swim talk show The Eric André Show, which fans will no doubt explain involves making his guests cringe with his absurdist stunts or practically torturing guests through painfully awkward moments.

It’s something that André takes in his stride, guest appearing most recently in the final Jackass movie, Jackass Forever, and appearing opposite Lil Rel Howery and Tiffany Haddish in the practical joke-filled road movie, Bad Trip (released in 2021.)

The 39-year-old once attended the illustrious Berklee College of Music in Boston, graduating with a Bachelor of Music and with the full intention of becoming a professional bass player. However, his ridiculous sense of humour led to him filming a pilot for The Eric André Show, which he based on the “shoddy” studio setups that many public access television stations across the US used to broadcast from.

His current dalliance with Emily Ratajkowski isn’t the first time that the press has been interested in his romantic life. From 2016 to 2017, André was dating Rosario Dawson as the pair shared photos of each other on Instagram. The comedian admitted that he started dating someone he met at a farmer’s market in 2021, but had no clue she was famous.

Whether this is once again an example of André's irreverent sense of humour, or if he is being serious about the matter, is always a grey area with the comedian. However, paparazzi shots have shown both he and Ratajkowski have been spending a lot of time together recently.
