The National Television Awards celebrates the best in British TV, everything from much loved soaps to drama and reality shows will be judged by the public and crowned the winner. The NTA’s started 28 years ago with over 15 categories featuring our favourite faces and TV shows.
This Morning has won Best Daytime show for the past 12 years in a row. But with the recent fall out between now ex-presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will their reign be over? Over the last few weeks tensions have been rising between Holly and Phil and in the end forcing him to sensationally quit the show.

Holly and Phil are also up for the ‘Best Presenter Award’ which has been awarded to Ant and Dec for 21 years. As well as the reigning champions the TV hosts are also up against fellow This Morning hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.
PeopleWorld ran a poll asking Twitter followers “Would you like to see Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary take over the couch full time?”
42.7% said Yes Indeed!
57.3% replied No thankyou….
Looks like Holly may be safe for now.
Phillip has hosted the daytime show for the past 21 years firstly with co-host Fern Britton and then when Holly took over in 2009. They have consecutively won the Best Daytime Award for 12 years.

Appearing to still be slightly drunk, fans of the show thought it was hilarious to see the usual professional duo looking a bit dishevelled. It was an ongoing joke every year after and viewers would tune in the day after the NTAs to see if they turned up drunk.
That was until the award show in October 2022 which was held a month after the Queen had died. The ‘queue gate saga’ saw fans turn on the TV hosts after they appeared to jump the queue whilst the Queen was lying-in-state. When the names were announced crowds in the O2 arena booed them forcing Holly to leave the ceremony early.
